Thanks to the Fishtown Beer Runners, the Shad Fest will have an official run! Celebrate the running of the shad by sprinting along the Delaware River dressed like a fish! The Shad Run 5K is one of many activities planned as part of the Fishtown Business Association's Shad Festival held on the river at Penn Treaty Park.
The course is an out and back and runs on the sidewalk along Delaware Avenue. This is a flat/fast course and will be officially time by Run The Day Race Management.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers plus the top finishers in the following categories: 13 Years and Under, 14-19 Years, 20-29 Years, 30-39 Years, 40-49 Years, 50-59 Years, 60+ Years, and prizes for the best male and female fish costume.
Pre-Registration is $23, Day of is $25. A free festival t-shirt will be given to the first 100 registrants. Registering on-line is highly encouraged.
